Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum and I need your help.

I want to cool 100 kg of raw paraffin wax from 55 deg. C to 30 deg. C. I have taken the wax in a drum (diameter= 0.27 m and height= 0.58 m). I want to blow the air at 30 deg. C from the bottom of the drum. I am using a positive displacement blower for this. The air will make turbulence in wax and heat transfer will be effective by this turbulence.

I am confused that which equation I should apply on this system to calculate heat transfer rate? whether is it a forced convective heat transfer or just mixing of two fluids?
