Is Amity University good for B-Tech or Law?

Amity University is a reputed private university with over 15 campuses across the country. It also has international campuses in many places across the globe like London, Dubai, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, South Africa, Mauritius, Romania and China. The university is approved by UGC and holds the membership of AIU. Amity Noida, with its first-rate infrastructure and remarkable facilities, is the best campus of the educational group. The university offers many programmes in several fields. Since both engineering and law are very popular among students these days, let's compare some features of B. Tech and law programmes offered by Amity University.


  • Range of courses

Amity Noida offers numerous undergraduate, postgraduate and integrated courses in engineering. The wide range of B. Tech courses include programmes with specializations in fields like civil, computer science, electronics and communications, aeronautics, aerospace, avionics, automobile, bioinformatics, biotechnology, electrical and electronics, food technology, electronics and instrumentation, industrial heavy machinery, information technology, electronics and telecommunication, mechanical, nanotechnology, nuclear science, solar and alternate energy and artificial intelligence.   • Fee structure

The first year semester fee varies between Rs 0.84 lacs to Rs 1.925 lacs for various B.Tech programmes. On the other hand, the first year semester fee for the undergraduate law programmes is Rs 1.42 lacs. Amity Noida charges higher fees from the sponsored students.


  • Duration of programmes

All the B.Tech programmes are 4-year long while the integrated programmes take 5 years to complete. The undergraduate law programmes have a duration of 5 years.


  • Admission process

To get admission in a B.Tech programme at Amity University, you will have to clear a subject-based written test and an English language test. While to pursue law from Amity Noida, you will also have to clear a personal interview along with these two other tests.


  • Accreditation

All the engineering programmes offered by the university are approved by The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and all the law programmes are approved by Bar Council of India (BCI).


  • Facilities

50,000 square feet of the 60-acre Amity Noida campus is occupied by Amity School of Engineering and Technology. The fully air-conditioned building has over 120 hi-tech labs, well-stocked with all the major equipment, to provide students with proper practical training. Under the guidance of qualified and distinguished faculty members, students receive a high-quality education. The school also offers students an opportunity to study abroad for 5 weeks at an international campus in London, Dubai, New York, Australia or Singapore. Situated in the university campus, Amity Law School covers a relatively smaller area than the engineering school. The school has an extensive range of academic, cultural and sports facilities.


  • Placement

The university has a very dedicated placement cell that puts great efforts in presenting the students with excellent career opportunities. Many students of Amity School of Engineering and Technology have been placed in prestigious companies across the globe and give credit to the University for their Success. The highest package to be received by the school was of 36 lacs per annum. Many top firms like Microsoft, Amazon, Tata, etc. recruit the university's students every year. Many students of Amity Law School also get placed in top firms, but the number of students placed and the packages received are higher for the university's engineering students.


Both and law courses at Amity University have great potential for the students to succeed in their professional endeavor, but the engineering courses slightly overshadow the law courses in certain aspects.
