This is in reply to your question regarding the concept of continuum at the nano level, Mr.Haider.

The concept of continuum can be assumed if the matter in a body is distributed continuously and it fills the entire volume it resides in (the body doesn't behave as if it was made up of individual molecules and atoms in random motion).

But, the models created using this assumption ignores the very fact that matter is made of atoms and therefore not continuous. However, these models can be considered accurate if the length scales are much greater than the inter-atomic distances (unit - Å or pm, which is closer to the nano level).

Usually this means you cannot look at a volume of a substance smaller than about 100 µm. So, I hope that the equations will stay true till the micrometer scale. Correct me if I went wrong somewhere.

I was just going through the concept of Continuum Theory which doesn't work at the nano level. Can anybody tell me at what level the transition takes place when we cannot use the equations developed using continuum theory?
