GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an all-India exam conducted to test comprehensive understanding of engineering and science subjects that are studied during graduation. The exam is conducted by both the Indian Institute of Science and all 7 IIT institutes on behalf of the National Coordination Board, Department of Higher Education, HRD Ministry of India.  Before planning to appear for this exam, one must know its importance.
