I was doing some reading around different valve types; and came across this page on Fluid Controls. It states
"Widely used in industries from analytical through to offshore, our ball valves range includes miniature ball valves, ball check valves, cyrogenic ball valves, high pressure ball valves, rotary plug valves and swing out ball valves." But, I was just wondering; what other applications could they be used for? I know it says from analytical to offshore - but I'd be curious to learn what other industries you've used ball valves in and why you've chosen them over other types?
Just thought I would provide an update on this for anyone that might have read this forum post or could be interested -
Ball valves are used in a range of fluid control operations. Especially due to the wide range of ball valves available including pneumatically and electrically operated 2-3 way ball valves (these are highly common). But some of the most pertinent industries and applications used when speaking to people include; oil and gas solutions, fuel gas systems, high-pressure situations.
