All the other apps I have tested require a plugin or big software download. This is a no go for corporate clients behind a big firewall. The ability to also embed audio and video is a huge plus.

Since Acrobat v7, Adobe added the ability to embed interactive 3D models. Without additional plugins!! We were beta testers for Adobe at the start of v7.

The interactive PDF files are a huge hit with manufactures, construction and Bio-Mech. clients. If you have the acrobat free viewer v7 up, is always works.

You need pro-extended to author in 3D. http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatproextended/features/
