Epoxy Granite Cast Bases

I thought it would be helpful to mention epoxy granite cast bases, since all machine must be constructed on some kind of base. EG bases can be cast using very low cost wood tooling, if you need parts quickly, have a changing design or have a small run. Bases up to 70,000 lbs have been cast using wood tooling. Precision components are grouted into place after casting or steel components can be cast in and machined. If you have a very precise structure, you can use steel tooling and cast to high…See More

Custom Machine Design

Standard equipment is the quickest way to make a product. When no suitable equipment is available, custom designed equipment is next to be considered. Engineers with a roadblock in their design can discuss with others with this group.

Epoxy Quartz Mineral Castings

I would be willing to assist anyone who has questions about the use of epoxy quartz castings for mahcine tools or any casting. EQ castings can be any size and shape. They can be cast to very precise finished tolerances, without secondary machining. They consume 85% less energy to produce than cast iron castings and do not require paint. Machines that are constructed using EQ bases can usually run faster, because they dampen vibration. Some users claim grinding wheel or cutting tool life is 30%…See More
