Hi everyone,

I am trying to find a multi-purpose borescope to be used in wind turbines. I've used several borescopes but none of them seem to be amazing and stand out from the others. Recently I've tested/used the GE Everest and an off brand iTool. There is one in particular I like, it is a 4mm tip with 640x480 screen resolution. I'm wondering if this low resolution is typical for a 4mm tip? I intend on using this mostly for inspection of bearings which is why a 4mm tip is required.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good quality 4mm borescope?

Hi there,

3.6 tip is perfect for bearing inspection. That kind of resolution is normal as the screen is small-sized, isnt it? What size, in Mpx, are the photos or videos that the borescope takes? I have worked with GE's Explorer and XL Go and both are good. XL Go is lighter, and more handy. I've seen the Everest one, and it has a feature to show the position of the tip which I find preety useful, but I think that this can be also incorporated to GE's with a software update.

Cheers
