Additive Manufacturing Gets a “Universal Language”

What do you think about new industry standard definitions developed by SME and ASTM for the additive manufacturing (formerly known as the rapid prototyping, and by several other names) market?

Leslie,

I think you did a great job with the article. We have been using and trying to brand the term Additive Manufacturing for about 5 months. We really feel we have an advantage for AM with our DMLS machine and see the benefits. Quite a bit others are also seeing this especially where it is cost effective to produce metal parts without any tooling!
